Asatru is an ancient Norse religion.  By ancient Norse I'm referring to the Vikings.  It may seem strange, but this religion is growing at an exponential rate; especially here in the USA.  The groups that practice this belief system are called kindred's.  They believe Norse gods such as Odin, Thor, ect.

The Asatru Alliance follows  a set of by laws that were created by the Independent Kindred's of the Alliance  which is based on a code of living set forth in the ancient Havamal text, a kind of poetic guide book to the religion.  An online translation provided by vikingr.org is available

I have witnessed one of the Asatru's kindred's meetings here in Oregon.  I would compare it to a Scottish "gathering of the clans".  The Asatru meet to play viking games, eat, and read from the Havamal.  They also discuss future plans regarding the Asatru faith.
