Zombies - THE STRANGE

Although zombies were made famous by Hollywood, "real" zombies are not the same. Zombies originate from the Vodun religion, more commonly known as Voodoo. The bokor, the high priest of black magic in the Voodoo church, finds someone that he does not like very much and poisons them with a very deadly poison made out of toad skin, poisonous plants and seeds, tarantulas, and puffer fish. It's easy for the bokor to poison the person because all he has to to is touch them. The poison is so powerful that it can kill you just by soaking through your skin. After the person is dead, the bokor digs him up and administers a powerful drug to the dead man which turns him into a zombie. They are then used by the bokor as slaves for farm work ect. When the bokor is done with them he gives the zombie salt, which causes the zombie to return to it's grave.

UPDATE: I talked to Doctor Richard Williamson about zombies and he had this to say: "Former, Astrophysics, now a doctor, let's talk about influence on the amygdala center of the brain, the stuff of zombie type nature.... Not cool. Self control as a fruit of the Spirit may become more important than you think. As far as zombie, the reaction to overstimulating of the amygdala is switching on of hunter/pursuit (these things will be fast, like sprint) and hunger (eat things they normally wouldn't) I am looking at that stimulation as a global thing as in a side effect of galactic and solar radiation increase as the global magnetic field is waning (current magnetic field excursion) as part of a "in those days I will pour out my Spirit upon all mankind" thing. What you have between your ears gets augmented (reflex pessimist or optimist), some will make a hell out of heaven others a heaven out of hell."

Doctor Michael Heiser used to have a show called "Peeranormal". On this show they studied peer reviewed papers on paranormal phenomena.
They actually did an episode about the science of zombies.

I have found something out for your zombie page. Did you know that in Haiti, the fear of becoming a zombie is so great, the government has actually made it illegal to make someone a zombie! In the law, it mentions no charge for murder, but it has a stiff sentence for the act of turning someone into a zombie, weird eh?
